Henderson County Open Records Request
Public records are materials prepared by government agencies. They must be open for inspection unless exempted.
All requests must be in writing. Use the standardized Open Records Request Form. Include your printed name and signature. Describe the records being requested.
Submit requests by email, mail, or hand delivery during business hours.
Effective June 29, 2021, only Kentucky residents may request to inspect public records. KRS 61.872(3) establishes this rule.
Costs are 10 cents per page for black and white copies. Electronic transmission is free if under 4MB. CDs are $1.00 plus postage if over 4MB.
The Detention Center has five business days to respond. This excludes weekends and legal holidays.
